Choose A Firm That Will Stand Firm Against Drunk Drivers!

The annual cost of alcohol-related crashes totals more than $44 billion.
– Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

According to the CDC, 9,967 people were killed in alcohol-impaired driving crashes in 2014, which accounts for one-third of all traffic related deaths in the US. A driver with a Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher are considered alcohol impaired by law. In Louisiana, drunk drivers accounted for 3,046 deaths between 2003-2012. Many times it’s not just those involved in the accident that are hurt, as many alcohol related accidents often end in tragedy, family members and friends are also impacted and left to gather the pieces.

So often, drunk drivers are not first time offenders. They may or may not have a record of their previous behavior, but it is estimated that the average drunk driver has driven drunk 80 times before their first arrest. Although Louisiana has strict penalties for drunk drivers – including zero tolerance and minimum legal drinking age laws for those under 21, use of sobriety checkpoints, and ignition interlock systems – some offenders still slip through the cracks.
